Call of Duty: Warzone’s duos playlist is back this weekend, thanks to an updated set of gametypes from developer Infinity Ward. The studio announced on Twitter that the game will offer the beloved duos playlist, along with solos, trios, quads, and Plunder quads. This free to play game has enormous popularity among those who love shooter style war games.
If you’ve visited the Call of Duty: Warzon among those who love e subreddit, taken a look at our comments section, or looked at the replies to any Call of Duty: Warzone tweet in the past few weeks, you’ve likely seen fans begging for the return of duos. With the game’s battle royale mode usually requiring three-player squads, friends in a pair were either stuck with a random ally or forced to go into a game missing a teammate. Sometimes you only need your best person covering your back, but when it is 3 v 2 the fight isn’t fair. This change will be welcomed by many fans of the game.
Infinity Ward is currently rolling the new playlists out to all players, and pairs should be able to jump into battle soon.
This playlist change comes only a few days before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone’s fourth season, which Infinity Ward will launch on Wednesday, June 3. It’s not entirely clear how season 4 will change Modern Warfare and Warzone, but a recent trailer teased Captain Price as a new Operator, and continuation of the Bunker 11 nuke storyline.
